FAQs
What should I expect from my first session?
During your first session, we focus on what your goals are, and how to best help you. Are you wanting to work on one particular issue or do you want to spend time exploring a number of issues? The initial session can help you decide if we are a good fit and if you want to proceed. There is no pressure to re-book at this stage, if you don’t want to.
How often should I come?
Depending on what you want to focus on, will determine how often you should attend.
Perhaps it is one issue that can be resolved quickly, that’s great, or maybe you have a lot of distress and trauma and require longer term care, I can help with that too.
Do you keep my information private?
Everything we talk about in session is confidential and I will not break your privacy, unless you have told me that you, a child or another person is in danger. As a Mandatory Reporter, I am required by law to break confidentiality in these instances.
How much do you charge?
I offer services to both fee paying clients and provide counselling for Victims Services clients.
Full fee is $150 per 50 mins
Clients who are eligible for Victims Services Counselling are not billed directly and this service is paid for by the Department of Community and Justice (DCJ).
